Netball and Ringette – Team sports for women Netball is the world’s most popular team sport for women and is played in more than seventy countries – from Fiji to Ireland, from Botswana to Malaysia. Ringette by contrast is a less-played sport, being competitively played in only a handful of countries: Canada, Finland, France, Sweden and the United States. Regardless of the respective following, women from each sport seem equally devoted to their game. |

This year’s conference included a session specifically devoted to women and sports management, thanks in part to the Lausanne Network for Women in International Sport (LNWIS). |
