Conference Patron

Tarja Halonen, President of the Republic of Finland will patronize the 6th IWG World Conference in 2014. The Finnish Sports Federation is grateful for the wide support received both nationally and internationally for the project already at the application phase. The Finnish Government, the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland (2007-2011)Sauli Niinistö and Minister of Culture and Sport (2007-2011) Stefan Wallin supported obtaining the conference and the chairpersonship in Finland. The Finnish Sports Federation will organize the conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Cultuere and the City of Helsinki. The City of Vantaa and the City of Espoo are likewise involved in the cooperation.
